Most Efficient way to earn money in gw
So im wondering what peoples opinion is on the best way to earn money in guild wars??
Being able to farm an area 55 times per day because you have no job also does not make something efficient.
From my own point of view, gvg is the fastest way to get rich. I personally earn 750+ zaishen keys every month, playing no more than about 3-4 hours per day. (its also besides the point but its pretty fun and does not involve grinding ;P)
what do you think is the easiest and least time consuming way to get rich?

That's cuz you're top tier, floor
But yeah, if you can get friends, and are dedicated enough, GvG is definitely the easiest way to earn money.
Snowball tournaments come in 2nd place Anyone can play, and just by participating you can get zkeys. Also, snowball tourneys are EVERY day during the holidays, so you can get stacks of zkeys. I only played like every other day and ended up with 5 stacks of zkeys.
I say DoA speedclear and ecto farming (whatever method you prefer) then come in 3rd.

If i was you , i would just keep GvG'ing since it's probably the best to link fun and reward. Eventually , although it can be a bit less fun , you can just play HA on quest day( just run primal rage , grab unranked sfers( at least those will listen) and blahks + tutella , you easily win first 3 maps ( if you get them..))...
Among PvE , upon all i did recently , i think DoA is the best since at least you know you will get " many " gemstones from chests. I wouldn't recommend ecto farming since it's really only pure luck and end chest isn't that fine....

First, find something that you can run and/or farm. In the case of the OP it was GvG. Then farm until you have a amassed a pretty nest egg. This method, like almost all methods, does take alot of grinding at first.
Second, start power trading. Which means buy items at the lowest possible price and sell them to noobs at spamaden for the highest possible price. And thank Anet that they dont have an Auction House to help regulate prices. Its just like working on wall street! Once you get started, its easy fast cash.

The people have spoken....powertrading. Sometimes its not as easy to get the good stuff, but if you can build a nest egg of 200e(500 is recommended) then money makes itself, and you can just keep playing and trade sparingly. On the other hand, power trading these days takes too much time if you dont have rare minis, q7/q8 shiz, or mass amounts of consumables.

nooo don't PvE, floor!
You've got it made if you have reliable source of 750+ z-keys a month (4,875k/month @6.5K per Z-key). That's about 54K an hour, so the only thing more is probably DoA, which is boring.

just play the game and find your niche.. pvp, SC, running ppl, Farming, trading... etc... all leads to the same goal. Being "rich"
SC & running ppl got me "rich" and i guess the OP got "rich" buy doing PVP... but really IMO being "rich" is pointless. oh well.... just my 2 cents.

I have to agree, once you've put max armor and a set of runes on all your chars there's not much I (personally) want. Runes and weapons for the heros I can get from drops, and I have a bunch of monastery credits/battle commendations/imperial whatnot that I use for kits. The only extra cash I find myself needing is for skills (from trader, tomes, Signet of Capture). But that also accumulates naturally from quests rewards and selling mats and drops. It's not much, some people may even laugh at the measly 10-20k I have... but seriously, what more do you need?

Its not a matter of if you need the money, its simply do you want it. There are alot of legacy rares I want that are gonna cost me oodles of noodles. How to get them, you say? Get rich or hope for a 1 in 1,000,000+ chance or more of it dropping, if it even drops anymore.

I've had around 10 years experience in generating revenue in MMO industry and I analyze game economies with a much higher level of sophistication because it's basically my job. It's a pretty unique job, so it's a niche, so I make a lot of money doing it. I was a frequent business partner of Rusty/Russell I'm not sure if anybody even knows him anymore or whether he's still active in GW but basically we made a lot of money [he is a brilliant businessman, or hustling as he calls it] playing the Guild Wars economy and even then the greatest contribution to money was using real world business mechanics to capitalize on in game business opportunities.
The most efficient way to make MMO money, is to make the money outside of MMO. That's all I'm saying about that topic because I hold GWG's rules in the utmost and highest respect even more than the life of my own mother.
The only other way to make a lot of money in MMO is if you are the top elite of the game pop and control a rare resource or get paid dividends use of a virtual place you [or more probably, your guild] owns. Usually those resources grant more power to players so end game crafting, currency to utilize a game mechanic that changes the game world drastically, etc. So basically, supply and demand of a rare commodity. In more player controlled economies like EVE and Entropia this gets really, really interesting. There have even been cases of white collar crime involved, that's how awesome and serious it gets. So for the OP, ceiling, he is probably in the top % of the competitors and has access to the prize pool. Tournament structures obviously reward in a very exponential manner, 3rd place gets 10% 1st place gets much more, and so forth.
Hope this helps!
